One of those things that genuinely blows you away. You ride from the desert floor at 2,600 ft up to 8,500 ft on the mountain, where it's 30–40 degrees cooler, with panoramic views of the entire Coachella Valley. A bucket-list landscape — alien rock formations, Joshua trees as far as you can see, and some of the best stargazing in Southern California.
