The legendary courses of PGA West
Test your skills on the Pete Dye Stadium Course, a crown jewel famous for its challenging design and picturesque island green on the 17th. Experience dramatic elevation changes on the Pete Dye Mountain Course, or enjoy the forgiving links-style layout of the Pete Dye Dunes Course. The Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course offers a classic design with captivating risk/reward holes, ensuring a memorable round for every golfer.

Right Inside PGA West — 5 Resort Courses (Walk or Short Drive)
🏆 Pete Dye Stadium Course (The Crown Jewel) This is the one every serious golfer has on their bucket list. Ranked among the best courses in the world and home of The American Express PGA Tour event, the Stadium Course is pure Pete Dye drama from the first tee to the final putt. The famous Hole 17 "Alcatraz" — an island green completely surrounded by water — is one of the most photographed and most terrifying shots in all of golf. The water-lined 18th finishes the round with equal intensity. When guests ask "which course should I not miss?" — this is always the answer.
"Walking onto the Stadium Course tee box for the first time feels like stepping onto a stage. Everything here is designed to test you, thrill you, and humble you — sometimes all on the same hole."
🏔️ Pete Dye Mountain Course Nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains with dramatic elevation changes, pot bunkers, and rock formations woven throughout the layout, the Mountain Course plays completely differently than the Stadium. Target golf, links-style stretches, and railroad-tie wrapped water hazards demand your full attention. Stunning visuals on every hole.
🌊 Pete Dye Dunes Course (Opened 2023) The newest PGA West resort course brings a traditional Scottish links feel to the desert — rolling mounds, thick rough, manicured fairways, and a slope rating of 134. Opened in 2023 with a fresh renovation. A more forgiving round than the Stadium but never boring. Par 72, 6,578 yards from the tips. Green fees around $214.
🦅 Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course (The Must-Play for Groups) The rare distinction of featuring two island greens — an almost unheard of design feature. Nicklaus built this course to reward power off the tee while demanding precision around the greens. Forgiving enough for mid-handicappers to enjoy, demanding enough that scratch players are tested. Long hitters love it. Consistently rated a "must-play" by guests.
🌵 Greg Norman Course ("A Golfer's Dream in Paradise") Desert native landscaping, dramatic natural backdrops, and a routing designed to flow naturally through the terrain. Open to all skill levels with multiple tee boxes, the Greg Norman Course is perfect for a more relaxed round that doesn't sacrifice scenery or interest. A beautiful walk regardless of what you shoot.

Former host of The American Express PGA Tour tournament from 2008–2011. The longest course in the area from the tips and one of the most scenic. Municipal pricing makes this a tremendous value play.
